Sam Clementine is the picture of a southern gentleman, with one difference: she’s female. In combat, as well as life, Sam favors finesse over force. She would never use a bullet when a word or well-placed sword thrust will do the trick. In battle, her primary role is strategy and directing her teammates. Sam became a huntress for the same reason she wears a suit: she’s an iconoclast that refuses to accept the role her family would have chosen for her.

Nicole Brass likes machines. Machines are easy, not complicated like people. Growing up in her parent’s workshop, Nicole displayed a knack for mechanisms and electronics early on. Her skills quickly set her apart from other children, driving her to spend less and less time with others and more time hidden away in her workshop. Being partnered with Sam has managed to crack her shell a bit, but she still prefers to leave the social interaction to the one that enjoys it. In battle, Nicole is most effective at mid-range combat, firing her electrical pulse guns to stun or destroy enemies. In melee, her batons can stun opponents, but she has to overcharge them with her semblance to do any permanent damage.

You might think that the two technical geniuses of team SENA would get along, having so much in common. You would be wrong. In almost every situation involving their expertise, Nicole and Aaron come up with completely different solutions, then argue about which is the best. It can be as trivial as changing a light bulb or as potentially disastrous as defusing a bomb, Nicole and Aaron will find a way to argue about it.
Aaron’s family runs a technology company in Atlas, but a few years ago they were absorbed and are now a subsidiary of the Schnee Dust Company. After the merger, Aaron found that he was no longer being groomed to take over Edwards Mechanical and suddenly had a great deal of free time on his hands. Pouring his skill into designing new inventions, Aaron grew angry when SDC took several of them as their own. Deciding that someone had to stand up to them, he quit his apprenticeship at Edwards Mechanical and found a retired huntsman to teach him some combat skills. Eventually, with some help from his teacher, Aaron realized that the Grim were an equally serious problem and he joined Atlas’ lesser hunter academy (the prospect of the greater social clout of a huntsman likely had a bearing on the decision as well). Graduating from there, he moved on to Beacon, where he became part of team SENA.

If it’s locked, odds are that Eric White can get in or out of it. Though his semblance undoubtedly helps, even without it Eric is a master escape artist.
Eric was born into a nomadic caravan outside the Five Kingdoms. Whenever the caravan came across a settlement, they would stop to resupply. Some would trade goods, while others would trade services. Eric learned his escape artistry as a way to earn money and goods by performing for an audience.
